Moxie Robot Review

Developing social, emotional, and life skills can be tough for kids, especially children who experience anxiety or autism. They may benefit from more practice and encouragement. That’s where the Moxie robot comes in. Moxie is a 7lb robot whose sole purpose is to engage with kiddos and help spur their development. Below we’ll talk about our experiences with Moxie to help you decide if Moxie could be a good tool for your kiddo.

What Is the Moxie Robot?

Moxie is a cylindrical blue robot with adorable animated eyes. She has human-like facial expressions that help her teach kids how to recognize emotions. While she is a stationary robot, she can pivot to reflect human body language. Moxie models human interactions. She creates a safe space for children to practice social skills that may be difficult for them in other environments.

The Moxie robot uses artificial intelligence to become familiar with a child’s specific needs. She tailors her feedback based on a child’s progress and alters her interactions as they improve and learn. If you worry about your kiddo spending too much time with her, fear not! The Moxie robot limits how much time a child can spend talking to her. She also gives kids missions to interact with others and explore the world around them.

How Much Is a Moxie Robot?

We think the Moxie AI robot is a fantastic teacher and companion for kids. While she is expensive, she’s constantly learning and adapting her teaching strategy, so the novelty doesn’t wear off. She surprised us with her knowledge of emotional skills and her general understanding of the world. She can carry on engaging in conversations effortlessly and always has a new funny joke to tell.

With all that said, she is a little pricey. You can try the Moxie robot and rent her for $149 a month or purchase her outright for $999 with a monthly subscription of $39. Because she tailors her interactions on one child’s development, she can’t juggle multiple kids at once. If you’re looking for a tool for one of your children, we think Moxie is a great choice and definitely recommend you give her a try! Watch our youtube video’s where we unbox and interact with Moxie the robot for more details about how she helps kids develop the skills they need to succeed!
