The state requires that individuals need at least an intermediate care facility level of care to qualify. This has a technical definition but essentially just means that the individual is unable to get through their day without a lot of supervision.
Income: Income eligibility is only based on the child’s income and not the parents income. This means that your child is financially eligible for the waiver if they don’t have an income.

New Hampshire has a good waiver program apart from its website which feels as though it is older than the internet itself. It doesn’t have a ton of information so we really recommend calling your Bureau of Developmental Services office. Overall New Hampshire does a good job providing medicaid services to higher income families and expanded services for people with disabilities. There is a short waiting list but we expect it will only take a month or two before you start receiving services.
