AzTAP / AzLAT (Arizona Loans for Assistive Technology)

AzTAP (Arizona Technology Access Program) confirmed that the AzLAT financial loan program can help families buy a Goally device. Apply online at AzLAT.org. AzTAP’s Reuse Services program has no funding to buy devices.

Important AzLAT loan info:

  • Low-interest loans for assistive technology, for people with disabilities or someone applying for them.
  • Loans are usually $100 to $20,000. The Loan Review Committee may consider more.
  • The interest rate is 4.5%, fixed for the whole loan.
  • Repayment usually takes 6 to 60 months. Longer terms may be approved.
  • The committee meets monthly. Approval usually takes under 31 days once they have a complete application.
  • AzLAT works with MariSol Federal Credit Union. After closing, the borrower usually gets a check made out to the vendor.
  • Questions: 602.728.9507 or [email protected]

What families do:

  1. Read the AzLAT info and apply at AzLAT.org. The site also has printable, Spanish, and large-print versions.
  2. If AzLAT needs a quote, invoice, or W-9 for a Goally tablet, email [email protected].
  3. Follow the AzLAT and MariSol closing steps to pay the vendor.

Children at Home

Children at Home lists Equipment: Technology as an allowable category. Goally tablets can fit under that category.

What to do:

  1. Apply through the Iowa Family Support Network / EveryStep (Children at Home). Applications are rolling within the fiscal year; after April 30 they may go to a waitlist.
  2. Children at Home is a payer of last resort. You’ll need an insurance denial letter, and a waiver denial letter if you have waiver coverage. Extra documentation may be required for technology.
  3. Once approved, the program usually pays the vendor directly (they’ll ask Goally for a W-9 and a quote or invoice), or reimburses your family.

If your Intake and Referral Specialist needs an invoice, quote, or W-9, email [email protected]. You don’t need to contact Goally before you’re approved, unless you need those documents for your packet.

Using ESA Funds:

To order a Goally device using Louisiana ESA funds, follow the instructions here. We are an approved vendor for the Giving All True Opportunity to Rise” (GATOR) Scholarship Program.

Robbie Foundation — AAT Program (Adaptive Equipment / Assistive Technology / Therapy) Robbie Foundation reviews applications case by case for Maine residents (birth–20) with a documented developmental disability. If approved, the Foundation pays the vendor directly (not reimbursement for items already purchased).

  1. Apply at https://robbiefoundation.com/apply/aat-program-adaptive-equipment-assistive-technology-therapy-treatment/ with a vendor quote/estimate, three professional recommendation letters (dated within 12 months), and a MaineCare/insurance denial letter when the item is typically covered (denial requirements can vary).
  2. Aim for a quarterly deadline (common targets: Jan 5, Apr 5, Jul 5, Oct 5). Decisions usually come 2–3 weeks after the deadline; only approved applicants are contacted.
  3. If you need a Goally quote, invoice, or W-9 for your packet, email [email protected].

Low Intensity Support Services (LISS)

If your child was selected for LISS, you can request a Goally as Assistive Technology (tablets, software, and electronic speech devices are allowed). There is no approved-vendor list.

What to do:

  1. Tell your LISS coordinator you want a Goally tablet (Daily Skills or Communication).
  2. Include Goally on your LISS request with the price from our website. Each tablet price already includes the apps subscription (2 years for Daily Skills, 3 years for Communication). Apps Renewal after that is $72/year and is paid separately if you want it.
  3. Once LISS authorizes the purchase, order through your LISS process. If your coordinator needs an invoice, quote, or W-9 from us, email [email protected] and we’ll send it.

You do not need to contact Goally before you’re selected or before LISS approves the purchase, unless you need an invoice for your packet.

DDA Medicaid Waivers (Assistive Technology)

Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) has confirmed that Goally meets its Assistive Technology service definition. That covers communication (AAC) devices and tools that support daily routines and tasks. If your child is on a DDA waiver, a Goally tablet may be covered.

DDA doesn’t buy directly from Goally. The purchase goes through a DDA-approved Assistive Technology provider:

  1. Ask your Coordinator of Community Services (CCS) to add a Goally tablet (Daily Skills or Communication) to your child’s Person-Centered Plan as Assistive Technology.
  2. Your team will document that other funding (private insurance, Medicaid State Plan, school) was checked first, since DDA pays after those.
  3. Pick a provider: go to Maryland’s provider search and search “Assistive Technology OHCDS.” Once the plan is approved, that provider orders the tablet from Goally for you.

Don’t buy the device yourself first. If your coordinator or provider needs a quote, invoice, or W-9, they can email [email protected].

Using a Medicaid Waiver:

Please reach out to our partner Mercarik who can work with any MN HCBS waiver. Get started by submitting a referral here. You can also contact Mercarik with any questions.

Family Support Assistance Payment (FSAP)

Oklahoma Human Services Developmental Disabilities Services offers a monthly Family Support Assistance Payment for eligible families caring for a child under 18 with an intellectual or developmental disability at home. OKDHS confirmed the payment can be used in any way the payee finds appropriate if it benefits the child receiving the payment — that can include purchasing a Goally tablet.

What to do:

  1. Confirm you are enrolled in (or apply for) FSAP through Oklahoma DHS Developmental Disabilities Services: https://oklahoma.gov/okdhs/services/dds/fsap.html
  2. Check current eligibility on that page (child under 18 with ID/DD living with a parent/guardian, income limits, and not on an HCBS waiver are typical requirements).
  3. Once you receive FSAP payments, you can use those funds to buy a Goally directly if you decide it benefits your child. Order at getgoally.com, or email [email protected] if you need a quote or invoice for your records.

Contact Goally at [email protected] only if you need an invoice, quote, or W-9. For FSAP eligibility or payment questions, contact Oklahoma DHS / DDS.

Using a Medicaid Waiver:

Many families have successfully used Medicaid, insurance waivers, and state funding programs to cover the cost of Goally — but because we are unable to accept these payments directly, the process requires a little extra coordination.

Here’s how it works: Your case manager, service coordinator, or insurance agent will need to facilitate the payment on your behalf. Once approved, they can place the order by emailing us at [email protected].

Using OpenEd funding:

You can find information on how to apply here. Once approved, families will need to register the tablet as a “New device” in their system and will be subject to the new device policy. If parents have any questions you can chat with OpenEd here.

Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) PATF’s mini-loan program lists tablets and specialized software. Applications are rolling. Mini-loans are typically $100–$7,000 at 0% interest; some households may also qualify for a mini-grant.

What to do:

  1. Apply at PATF for a mini-loan (and mini-grant if eligible).
  2. Your application needs a vendor quote. Email [email protected] and ask for a quote for the tablet you want (Daily Skills or Communication). We’ll also provide a W-9 if they ask.
  3. Follow PATF’s instructions for payment. Loan proceeds are often made co-payable to you and the vendor.

Contact Goally only if you need a quote, invoice, or W-9 for your PATF application.

MyGOAL Inc. offers a yearly need-based grant to help families across the U.S. care for a child with autism. Families can use the grant for medical, enrichment, educational, or personal needs that insurance, schools, or other programs don’t cover. Educational and enrichment needs can include a Goally tablet.

Key facts:

  • Who can apply: the primary caregiver of a child under 18 with autism, anywhere in the U.S.
  • Award: $1,000. MyGOAL gives 25 grants each year.
  • How it’s paid: the grant goes to the caregiver, and your family buys what your child needs.
  • Timing: the next application cycle opens in February 2027.
  • What you’ll need: a Medical Health Assessment Questionnaire filled out by your child’s doctor, a cover letter about your family’s situation and how you’ll use the grant, and last year’s tax return or proof of SSI.
  • Families who get a grant can’t apply again for 3 years. Recipients agree to send MyGOAL a short video about how they used the funds.

What families do:

  1. When the cycle opens in February 2027, apply at MyGOAL Autism Grant Program and upload the three required documents.
  2. If you get a grant, you can use it to buy a Goally tablet (Daily Skills or Communication) as an educational or enrichment purchase. Order at getgoally.com.
  3. Keep your receipt for your records.

Email [email protected] only if you need a quote, invoice, or W-9.

UCP Elsie S. Bellows Fund (via local UCP affiliates)

Families can request a Goally Daily Skills or Communication tablet through their local United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) affiliate via the Elsie S. Bellows Fund. Tablets appear eligible; applications are reviewed based on how the item will be used. Once approved, funds go to the affiliate to purchase the equipment — Goally is not an enrolled national vendor; purchases run through the affiliate.

What to do:

  1. Contact your local UCP affiliate about a Bellows Fund request for a Goally tablet.
  2. Work with the affiliate on documentation of need (how the tablet will be used for daily skills, routines, communication, etc.).
  3. After approval, the affiliate purchases the equipment. If they need a quote, invoice, or W-9 from Goally, email [email protected] and we’ll send it.

You do not need to contact Goally before working with your affiliate, unless you need documentation for the application packet.

Using HSA/FSA Funds

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are tax-advantaged accounts that help individuals and families pay for qualified medical expenses. You can use an HSA to purchase Goally directly from our website. If insurance denied coverage or you prefer not to wait, this is a convenient alternative.
