Description
Penguin Pen was designed by pediatric occupational therapists to help kids with their fine motor controls. Kids learn the alphabet, the sounds of letters, and how to trace those letters. Each level gets harder for kids to complete. While kids play the Penguin Pen app, the app is assessing their fine motor skills. The parent app offers you exercises to do with your kids to improve their skills.

My kid needs help gripping a pen or pencil, will this help?
Once kids can trace the letters each shape, we recommend graduating them to a stylus. The stylus will imitate a pen on the screen. Using a stylus in combination with a pen / paper helps kids feel differences in friction on writing surfaces.
What are the OT strategies on the parent app?
Certain shapes and letter benefit from exposing kids to sensory exercises or muscular exercises. Based on the shapes and letters your kids are challenged on, our parent app will offer you exercises that many pediatric occupational therapists recommend for that level.
What other apps help with fine motor skills?
A lot of our games are chosen specifically because they force kids to practice fine motor controls. If your kids are struggling with Penguin Pen, we recommend dedicated practice time in a game like Bubbles. In that app kids pop the bubbles at a gradually increasing speed.
Can I hide Penguin Pen on Goally?
