Description

Penguin Pen was designed by pediatric occupational therapists to help kids with their fine motor controls. In this app kids learn the alphabet, the sounds of letters, and how to trace those letters. Each level gets progressively harder for kids to complete. While kids play the Penguin Pen app, the app is assessing their fine motor skills. Based on the level where they get stuck, the parent app will offer you exercise to do with your kids to improve their skills.

Once kids can trace the letters each shape, we recommend graduating them to a stylus. The stylus will imitate a pen on the screen. Using a stylus in combination with a pen / paper helps kids feel differences in friction on writing surfaces.

Certain shapes and letter benefit from exposing kids to sensory exercises or muscular exercises. Based on the shapes and letters your kids are challenged on, our parent app will offer you exercises that many pediatric occupational therapists recommend for that level.
